The Board of Directors govern the strategic operations of the center. The Board hires and oversees the President of the DRBDC who is responsible for the operational and management aspects of the center.

The DRBDC is a 501c(3) non-profit organization governed by an eight person board of directors. Generous support is provided by the business community. DRBDC nurtures businesses throughout the difficult start-up years, to enable them to survive in the creation of new jobs in the Danville/Pittsylvania County region after departing the center. Tenants enter the center for a period of one to three years for entrepreneurial development, coaching, counseling, mentoring, and training. Joint services include central telephone system and voice mail, clerical support, and state of the art audio visual equipment and support. Tenants benefit from the shared resources of the research library, mail room, and utilization of fax and copy machines. Infrastructural amenities include high speed internet access, industrial areas with loading docks and 208v to 480v electrical utilities, professional conference and training rooms, and kitchen and vending facilities. The 30,000 square foot facility is comprised of 6 industrial/research bays and 34 offices. |
