The center provides coaching and support for entrepreneurs in a Entrepreneurial Series that is delivered throughout the year. The series is provided on-site or by webinar for registered participants. The content is divided into four classifications:
- Strategy and Operations: Long and short term planning can provide the road map for the company. A long term strategic plan directs the company to a common vision and mission and generally addresses three to five years of planning. The shorter term plan is often referred to as a business plan or operational plan and it addresses one to three years or shorter term outcomes.
- Marketing and Public Relations: One of the most significant portions of a business plan will be the marketing and public relations plan. It will guide the development and assessment of the potential business and the operations leading to product and service selection and distribution as well as the general interface with the public for your company.
- Business Financing: One of the most frequent causes for failure among small businesses is lack of access to capital. This section compiles basic facts and understanding of small business financing concepts and resources to support your business development.
- Technology: Key elements of technology planning can make an organization more efficient and effective. Small businesses benefit greatly by utilizing technology to extend their capabilities. This extends to the use of computers, hardware and software, audio visual equipment and telecommunications equipment, as well as to facility infrastructure and research and development resources.
