AAPPI Receives First Contract |

The Advanced and Applied Polymer Processing Institute (AAPPI) has
received it’s first contract from Applied Felts, Inc. of Martinsville.
This project is a collaborative effort between APPI and Virginia’s
Philpott Manufacturing Extension Partnership (VPMEP) who will provide
the engineering and technical expertise to the project. Dr. Ronald D.
Moffitt, Ph.D, P.E., an Associate Professor at Virginia Tech and is
also the Director of the AAPPI polymer processing center . Currently
AAPPI has offices and three laboratories located in the Dan River
