Danville's designation as a Smart21 community, indicates that it is using broadband to increase the awarness of the area as a viable place to locate businesses and to help shape its economy and foster job creation. The Dan River Business Development Center (DRBDC) is presenting the Kauffman Foundation's FastTrac NewVenture Program. It is designed to help nascent entrepreneurs in their first year of business gain a better perspective on the business they want to start or have newly started.
