Kauffman Foundation's Fasttrac NewVenture Program

Interested in starting you own business?

The Dan River Business Development Center (DRBDC) is presenting the Kauffman Foundation's FastTrac NewVenture Program. It is designed to help nascent entrepreneurs in their first year of business gain a better perspective on the business they want to start or have newly started.


The FastTrac New Venture Program provides the opportunity to:

  • Objectively evaluate your concept and plans to move forward.
  • Develop a working knowledge of business fundamentals, such as marketing, product/service  development, management, and financials.
  • Begin building the infrastructure for your business operations and processes.
  • Explore risk and success factors in the marketplace
  • Understand how to access the human, financial, and business resources.
  • Network with entrepreneurs and professionals.
  • Respond to changes that can impact your business.
  • Build an actionable business plan.
Sessions will be held for five consecutive Saturdays starting February 13, 2010, from 8 am - 1 pm. The cost of the sessions will be $250 to the general public and $125 to the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber and Southern Piedmont Technology Council members.  Call to explore scholarship opportunities - unemployed or underemployed - scholarship opportunities available.
