DANVILLE, Va. (June 3, 2010) - Linda Hutson Green, president of the Dan River Business Development Center in Danville, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Business Incubation Association. Her three-year term begins Oct. 1.

Green has been president of the Dan River Business Development Center since 2004 and an NBIA member since 2000.

As small businesses become more revelant to the economy's stability in tough financial times, a group of nascent to beginning stage entrepreneurs, took some time to learn how to make their business concepts a reality or how to drive their new business ideas foward. Two new companies and eight individuals spent five consecutive Saturdays learning the fundamentals of being a business owner.

Danville, VA (March 10, 2010) - The Danville Regional Foundation has awarded a grant of nearly $1 million to the Dan River Business Development Center to expand its virtual operational capacity to aid entrepreneurs in Danville, Pittsylvania and Caswell counties.
